I grew up in Yorba Linda and went to YLHS, so I know exactly which classes feel overwhelming and which teachers are tough. I'm not some tutoring company sending whoever's available. It's just me, and I take that seriously.
I've been tutoring or TAing in some form since 8th grade because it's genuinely something I enjoy. For the past two years I've also been a teacher at Kumon, so I have real classroom experience on top of one-on-one sessions. There's a real satisfaction in watching something go from confusing to obvious for someone. I don't rush that process. I talk through things conversationally until it actually clicks, not until the hour is up.
Right now I'm studying Biology on a pre-med track at Santiago Canyon College and transferring to Cal Poly Pomona. So I'm very much still in student mode. I remember what it's like to sit with a concept that just won't stick, and I know how to get unstuck.
